|CLINIC: Becoming Prototypical|
|DAY: Friday||TIME: 2:30-3:30p
|DESCRIPTION: Many of us start in this hobby intrigued by making trains run and building and buying models. Using my own Oregon Coast Railroad as an example, this clinic explores making the change from building and buying railroad models to creating a believable prototype railroad in miniature. Subjects include setting a location and era, defining the railroad’s purpose, and fitting engines, cabooses, cars, and industries into a compatible whole. The concepts and ideas apply to both prototype-freelance layouts and layouts based on a real railroad.|
